If this is purely about PvP leadership energy, the ranking is hard not to start with:
1. Lord Shaxx 2. Saint-14 3. Lord Saladin
That is not a knock on Saladin. It is just hard to compete with the combination of volume, theatricality, and permanent Crucible identity that Shaxx brings.
1. Lord Shaxx
Shaxx is still the clearest face of Destiny PvP.
Why he wins:
- he sounds like PvP should matter
- he makes even ordinary matches feel bigger than they are
- his voice lines reward aggression, confidence, and momentum in a way that sticks
Shaxx does not just comment on the Crucible. He defines the emotional tone of it.
2. Saint-14
Saint-14 works because he brings weight and sincerity.
He feels less like a pure hype machine and more like a legendary figure who actually means what he says about courage, competition, and proving yourself under pressure.
He is especially strong when PvP needs:
- dignity
- gravitas
- the feeling that the event matters beyond loot
3. Lord Saladin
Saladin is strong, but in a different lane.
He feels more severe, more disciplined, and more tied to tradition than raw match-to-match hype. That works very well for Iron Banner, but it also makes him feel slightly less universal than Shaxx.
Saladin is excellent when the mood is:
- martial
- earned
- heavy
He is just not as instantly magnetic as Shaxx, or as mythic in a warm way as Saint-14.
The real difference
The best way to split them is:
- Shaxx: energy and spectacle
- Saint-14: legend and sincerity
- Saladin: discipline and weight
That makes Shaxx the easiest number one if the question is:
Who feels most naturally built to lead PvP as a whole?
Final ranking
1. Lord Shaxx
Still the best pure PvP leader because he makes the mode sound alive.
2. Saint-14
An excellent second because he gives competitive Destiny heart and myth.
3. Lord Saladin
Still great, but better as the face of Iron Banner specifically than as the broadest PvP voice.
Conclusion
If the question is who best captures Destiny PvP as a complete experience, it is still Shaxx.
If the question is who feels most noble, it may be Saint.
If the question is who feels most severe and battle-tested, it is Saladin.
